Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
7+ years of cumulative experience in multiple IT areas, including data and information architecture, database management, database technologies, data migration, business intelligence (BI) and analytics.
3+ years of relevant data migration experience.
3+ years of project management experience, preferably leading projects.
Understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and new technologies to evolving business and operating models.
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering, and integration.
Understands, advocates, and augments the principles of IT strategies
Experience and knowledge on how to develop conceptual, logical and physical data modelling for legacy systems
Experience identifying and defining data gaps and challenges during data migration efforts of system implementations
Designs and leads the implementation of a data / information architecture across JMS Program applications and technologies based on business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
Defines the principles, guidelines and standards to ensure data decisions are aligned with PDP’s JMS architecture vision.
Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state),and determines corresponding system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
Develop and implement integration strategies across the JMS Program.
Designs and directs the data governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
Ensures fitness of systems and infrastructure to the data architecture and identifies when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solutions architecture.
Identifies the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the data architecture.
Previous Public Safety industry experience
